MAMACITA’S CREAM OF SOUP

I will give you my regular and gluten free recipes. Both are great, you can’t tell the difference in the gluten free one. I have made it gluten free and substituted oak milk. It worked great for Nana’s chicken. Y’all ready for this?

Regular Recipe

  • 1 T butter

  • 3 T flour

  • 1/2 cup any broth of your choice (I generally use chicken, but any broth will do.)

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • salt & pepper to taste

    Gluten Free Recipe

  • 4 T butter

  • 1/4 cup gluten free flour (I use Bob’s red mill gluten free 1:1 blend)

  • 1 cup any broth of your choice (again, I generally use chicken, but any broth will do.)

  • 1 cup milk

  • salt & pepper to taste

    Make a roux with the butter and flour. Cook in on M/L for one minute to get rid of the ‘pasty’ flour taste. Add the rest of the ingredients and thicken to your liking.

    Note: Depending one the recipe I’m using it in, I occasionally add a dash of onion powder and garlic powder.
